"I do." Liam's voice was soft as he responded to his alpha. "Our mother tried to drown her when she was two."
Silence followed the statement. "How could a mother do that to her own child?" Conal finally asked in disbelief.
"the situation wasn't..... Ideal." Liam grumbled. "I never blamed her for what she did. Still it was enough to cause Dawn lasting psychological damage. What happened? Mat said it looked like she went swimming?"
"That's what I thought but her reaction to the tub...." Brandon trailed off.
"Maybe she fell through thin ice...." With that he turned and left the small apartment.
Brandon just held Dawn as the pack doctor examined her. Eventually she was deemed warm enough. He put her in one of his T-shirts and tucked her safely into bed. Brandon looked around at the bags that had been brought into his apartment then set about getting her settled.
By the time he went to join Dawn in bed he had set up the second bedroom to be a sewing room and unpacked all her clothes into the closet which he had rearranged. All her clothes fit into 1/8 the closest space and two drawers. He wasn't sure if that pissed him off or depressed him. But regardless of it she wouldn't have to worry having to unpack when she woke up.
