While the two were waiting for the skill's aftereffects to pass by chatting and telling others about their successful ascension, a certain thought popped up in Ataraxia's head.
"…Now that I think about it, you could finally use those shards in your head, right?"
"…Yeah," replied Valyr, nodding after giving it a bit of thought. "Probably won't use any time soon, though."
"Reason?" The former raised his eyebrow in curiosity.
"[Anathema of the Ascended]," said the young man in response, looking at his other self as if the answer was already obvious. "Plus, who knows what would happen to that skill I have if I finally decided to use the shards?"
"Is it really a problem, though?" Ataraxia gave him a knowing smile. "It might be more tedious with [Soul Unification], but you could also make use of the skill, no?"
"I could." Valyr nodded at the question, only to give his other self a knowing smile in return. "But imagine having the two skills stack together."
