As he prepared the next set of beams Ataraxia had to face, Aeramis could not help but look at the current sight with a slightly wry smile on his face, his mind briefly thinking back to how the young man fared in the inheritance thus far.
Back when the young man was attempting the previous trial for the first time, it already astounded him that someone who had chosen the hardest path of his inheritance would able to grasp the mechanics of the first trial that easily.
After all, the mechanics he had come up with for that trial was something he had dedicated at least a few years in order to perfect.
Yet, not only did Ataraxia reach the minimum threshold necessary to proceed on his first try, he had even figured a weakness he could exploit within the trial's mechanics, allowing him to reach the limit of the first trial with incredible ease.
