Chapter 77: Membership POV
Kushina had told him that in three days, her team 7 mission would be upgraded from a D-Rank to a C-Rank.
The news filled him with mixed emotions. On one hand, he wanted to let his sister experience the real shinobi world, to face danger, learn from her own mistakes and grow stronger through hardship. On the other hand, the thought of her getting hurt gnawed at him. He had enough points in his live stream system to buy her new skills, maybe even something powerful enough to guarantee her safety.
That internal conflict made him sigh as he leaned back on the chair. After several months of streaming and completing several missions that the supporter had requested him, his balance had reached around 1.4 million stars. It wasn't a small amount by any means, but every point had been hard-earned.
He opened the donation log and scrolled through the list of top contributors. The first name on the board was Terrance Smith, the most generous supporter who had donated over 100,000 stars. Right below him was Edward Parson, whose total contribution stood at about 90,000. The third was Kratos Dragon, another consistent donor who often appeared in his chat during major live missions.
Raiken couldn't help but feel a tinge of curiosity. 'What kind of people are they?' he wondered. 'How can they afford to spend that much just to watch someone like me?'
Even he, if he were in their place, would probably only donate between 1,000 to 5,000 stars at most. Anything beyond that required either incredible wealth or deep passion. Maybe both.
He chuckled quietly to himself. 'Still… I should be grateful. Without them, I wouldn't have come this far.'
---Terrance Smith POV---
Terrance Smith lived on Planet XXX2123, a dazzling blue world brimming with natural resources and technological wonders. Towering cities pierced the sky, and shimmering satellites circled the planet like metallic fireflies. Despite the planet's advancements, its society carried a heavy burden an unforgiving work culture.
For the average citizen, the daily life began at nine in the morning and didn't end until nine at night. Six days a week, twelve hours a day, with only a single day to breathe. It was a lifestyle that crushed dreams and dulled the spark in people eyes.
Many tried to cope in their own ways. Some turned to sports to release the tension that built up from endless routines. Others drowned their exhaustion in entertainment watching dramas, movies, or playing immersive simulation games. But for Terrance, his escape came from two things movies and comics.
One night, while browsing the interdimensional streaming network, he stumbled upon a stream titled:
[Escaping Uzushiogakure — Live Mission 42]
Curious, he clicked on it and that decision changed his nightly routine.
The streamer was a man named Uzumaki Raiken, someone who claimed to have been transported into one of Terrance favorite worlds: Naruto. At first, Terrance expected another power-fantasy story where the protagonist used a cheat system to bulldoze through every obstacle. But Raiken was different.
He struggled.
He bled.
He fought tooth and nail for every victory.
One wrong move, and he could lose everything, the mission, his clan, even his life. Yet he didn't give up. Through sheer willpower, strategy, and words that could shake hearts, Raiken had managed to convince the former Uzukage to entrust him with leadership and eventually became the new Uzukage himself.
Terrance still remembered that live stream episode vividly, how Raiken had told the former Uzukage about his suspicion that Konoha had a hand on destroying the village.
That advice caused the former Uzukage to resign and choose raiken and the next Uzukage.
Then came the most shocking twist. Raiken survived the Uzushiogakure Massacre and escaped with the remnants of his clan to Mount Myoboku, as Naruto fan he didn't even know that they could escape using reverse summoning jutsu. Terrance had never seen storytelling or world interaction like that.
But what truly sealed his admiration was what came next. Raiken didn't just rely on brute power, he outsmarted his enemies. He obtained the Wood Style, humiliated Danzo face to face, and turned the tables on the corrupt nobility. Every victory was earned and the best thing he are not yet using the cheat system of livestream.
If the other streamer thrown to that world, maybe they will just fight them head on. Through that he also learn about the Darkness of Konoha, the corrupt nobility, how drug, alcohol and gambling destroyed someone lives and family.
"This guy's something else," Terrance had muttered at the time, leaning closer to his holo-screen. "He deserves every star I've got."
From then on, Terrance became one of Raiken biggest supporters. Over time, he donated more than 100,000 stars, though, in truth, that was only about 0.05% of his total annual income.
He worked as a senior engineer in one of the largest energy corporations on the planet. His salary was among the highest, but his life was also among the most stressful. Supporting Raiken stream became more than a hobby, it became his way of escaping the monotony of reality.
Even after twelve hours of work, Terrance would come home, collapse on his recliner, and tune in to Raiken's latest broadcast. Watching him fight, plan, and grow gave Terrance a strange sense of fulfillment, as if, through Raiken, he too was living a life of purpose and adventure.
And deep down, Terrance thought with a faint smile, maybe that's worth more than the stars I spend.
---Edward Parson POV---
Edward Parson had always been a devoted fan of Itachi Uchiha. To him, Itachi was the embodiment of sacrifice and wisdom, a man who bore the weight of an entire clan sin for the sake of peace. Yet, for every bit of admiration he felt for Itachi, there was an equal, burning hatred for the two men he considered the worst figures in Konoha history Shimura Danzo and Sarutobi Hiruzen.
Those two old fossils, in his view, had squeezed every ounce of value from Konoha for their own benefit. They paraded around as a good leader, but Edward saw through them. Danzo, especially, was the worst of all, a hypocrite who wrapped his greed and hunger for power in the disguise of sacrifice and duty. He claimed to work for the good of the village, yet every move he made only served to elevate his own power and ego. Hiruzen, meanwhile, turned a blind eye to it all, allowing corruption to breed under his rule.
So when Edward stumbled across Raiken stream and saw that this new player, Uzumaki Raiken dared to openly contradict Danzo in front of everyone, it was as if justice had finally found a voice. Without hesitation, Edward became one of Raiken first supporters. His initial donation of 5,000 stars was more than just financial support, it was his way of saying thank you to someone brave enough to stand up against those he despised.
As time passed, Edward found himself more and more captivated by Raiken journey. He loved watching Raiken tear down the illusions of those so-called elders, exposing their hypocrisy one by one. What surprised Edward, however, was how the narrative began to shift his own perspective. Through Raiken actions and interactions, he started to see that perhaps Hiruzen was not as rotten as he had thought. Raiken often demanded things from the Hokage that required real sacrifice, and Hiruzen, more often than not, fulfilled them not out of fear, but because he truly cared about the village.
That realization changed Edward view of Konoha history. Maybe not all of its leaders were beyond redemption. Maybe some truly wanted peace but were trapped in a flawed system. Still, his hatred for Danzo never faded. Every time Raiken confronted that old schemer, Edward would grin ear to ear, knowing that, at least in this story, justice was finally being served.
---Kratos Dragon POV---
Kratos Dragon, on the other hand, was a long-time reader and critic of fanfiction, especially those written in the East. He had seen it all, transmigrations, overpowered protagonists, and endless clichés. Time after time, authors disappointed him by following the original storylines too closely, making only surface-level changes. They would insert a new main character into an existing plot but never allow them to truly alter the course of plotline. To Kratos, that was lazy writing.
Many of those protagonists acted like arrogant young masters from ancient clans, powerful but empty, shouting about justice without ever doing anything meaningful. It was rare to find a writer or character who had the courage to challenge the plotline and caused butterfly effect.
Then came Raiken, when Kratos first discovered Raiken live-streamed adventures, he didn't expect much. But as he watched, he realized Raiken wasn't just another overpowered insert. Raiken defied the story. He didn't follow the safe path. Instead, he used strategy, conviction, and sheer determination to bend the Naruto plot to his story. He confronted legends like Danzo and the nobles, reshaping Uzumaki storyline.
So he decided to go all in. He became one of Raiken biggest donors, ensuring the streamer had the resources and upgrades he needed to face future enemies especially the Otsutsuki. Every coin, every star, every bit of support he gave felt justified. In his mind, Raiken wasn't just another character in a story but a savior of Naruto universe.
Every penny he donated was worth it.
Though he was just only human who work 996, he willingly to donate 3% of his total income.
