"What?! Isis is in love with Horus?" Tefnut gasped, and so did the others, as their attention was drawn to Shu and Isis.
"That's not true," Isis denied, her eyes darting around from one shocked face to another as they all bore into her with their eyes.
"You can lie to Isis," Shu drew closer to her, "I read thoughts, even the deepest ones. So finding out your hidden feelings for Horus wasn't a hard task."
"No, air god," her face flushed. Accepting love for Horus at this point in time was something she never thought would come to pass. She felt so embarrassed that everyone there knew she felt so for Horus, especially the lowly immortals who were just mere servants and maids—and they could spread the gossip around Egypt as a whole. No one would see her as the most powerful goddess Isis anymore but as a weak goddess in love.
No! She wasn't going to accept that fact.
