Ranu fell to his knees immediately as he pleaded for mercy. "Please, sire! I am telling the truth. I would never speak falsely of the most powerful goddess in all Egypt. Please, sire, I beg your mercy, heed my words," he pleaded, hoping that Arad would listen to him, but he didn't.
"I am sorry, Ranu, but the only sentence for your crime of false speaking against a deity is death," Arad said with grief. "Any last words?" He said as he lifted his sword to strike him.
"Please, sire, nooooo!" Ranu cried.
"Halt!" A voice from the door spoke.
"The guard is speaking the truth!" Shu echoed with authority from the door.
"Air god Shu, moisture goddess Tefnut," all the guards in the room bowed to Shu and Tefnut who were standing at the door with Bo by their side.
"Geb!" Tefnut gasped on seeing her lifeless son on his bed. "How did this happen?" she asked, facing Arad.
