Alwin gulped and said, "My deepest apologies, Your Majesty, I really don't know."
"Then why are you trying to escape?" Ferdinand pointed out.
If Alwin truly didn't know, then he would not try to escape and would simply tell him what his theories were on what and who this was for.
Alwin remained silent this time and glanced at the altar.
The instant Ferdinand followed his gaze, Alwin used a spell to sever his arm Ferdinand was holding.
"!!!" Ferdinand noticed the sneaky move and immediately countered it.
"How dare you!" Ferdinand said in fury. "Did you realize what you just did?! You almost cut your arm! We have just told you last time not to do these kind of things!"
Alwin winced in pain, and Ferdinand realized he had gripped too tightly at his wrist. He loosened a bit, but his fury was still seething.
Alwin just tried to cut his hand right in front of Ferdinand to escape and keep this secret!
