Chapter 443 - Summoning Surge of Steel Part 6: Calculation & Progress

(General POV)

Location the Warhammer 40k World-The Immaterium: The Neutral Space-The Infinity Fountain Resting Place

In the whitespace, that is the resting place of the Infinity Fountain, all five Dark Gods are gathered, the four older Chaos Gods watching, as their youngest sibling, has plunged a couple worlds in chaos.

Both the Terminator-Earth, and the XCOM-Earth, are under siege of the ever growing legions of Vashtorr, and every time, he'd gained a new addition to his daemon legion, he opens rifts in each world already under his infernal legions' invasion.

All this and he has yet to gain, a Elder Daemon of his own, Tzeentch was loving this unexpected results of Vashtorr, entering these worlds, he even asked Vashtorr, "Vashtorr. If you need, some advice, and some...turns of fate's favor. Just ask the Master of Fate." Vashtorr shadowy silhouette, turned its gaze at the eldritch God of Fate.

After a short bit of silence, in a robotic, vox-sounding voice, responded to Changer of Ways' offer, "Analysing your offer... It will cost me more, accept than to refuse. You make variables, that are unacceptable. So no, Changer, I need not your, petty scheme, for cold logic." this respond made, both Nurgle and Laharl laugh.

In a robotic, and cold way, Vashtorr told Tzeentch to f-himself, even Khorne was impressed, their youngest brother.

While Tzeentch, he grunted in annoyance, as he was humiliated and now his damned older brothers, are laughing at him.

Tzeentch, while he would have prefers, a simple rejection, not a whole explanation against his twist of fate, then he'd thought, "Am I that untrustworthy?" almost like Vashtorr, already predicted this, he spoke again, "Changer. I am the one od least against change, including the Dark Harbinger. But I'm also a strick enforce of innovation, and progress...but not constant tampering with a system, that only needs maintenance and slight improvements. Not complete change." this did appease the Changer of Ways.

Along with amuse the Dark One, as Vashtorr has a point, his brand of Chaos, does slightly intertwine with many aspects, and domains of Tzeentch, but not a insane chaotic extents.

For technology to prosper, there must be evolution, progress, innovation, improvement, a change towards the future, but also their must be a slow process, which stands against Tzeentch in someways.

As the Chaos God of Change, he adores and crave, every single sliver of change for the sake of it, not something miniscule and delicately planed.

Which Laharl, find funny, all Tzeentch followers are the most cruel, cunning, and calculating schemers of their setting, always believing that their while thought-out plan is them being in control of their fate...when, it's actually Tzeentch using them as pawn for a bigger scheme.

So as much as Tzeentch like to believe that he embraces all forms of change, even he has a limit on what it means, and projects.

As they continue to watch over the Arkefine, the Void Gate, it finally opened up and gave Vashtorr the daemonic essences of the XCOM codexes and gatekeepers two spheres, one a glitching multi-toned orange with black accents, emanating whisps of data.

It was clear to older Chaos Gods, that it was the codex essence, which obviously meant that the other was the gatekeepers' essence, a white colored sphere with a red core center, it pulsing with purple psychic energies, the same color tone that is usually used for Psi-Soldiers in XCOM.

Vashtorr, inspected his new daemonic essences, with fascination and intrigue, as he gently pushed them both into his being, absorbing and gaining absolute, divine dominance over these new daemons.

Surging him with infinite amounts of new vassals, now swirling within him, the exo husk, silent stalkers, venomcrawlers, terminators, annihilators, codexes, and gatekeepers.

A vast variety of daemonic servents, now loyal to his ever expanding legion, he'll admit it...to himself, that without the Changer, the Blood God, the Rot Lord, and the Dark One's respective support, he might never obtain, such a vast number of neverborn in his command.

But there was still these Geth, to be apart of his legion, then the Elder Daemons of his dark personal pantheon, since the geth, are next on his list, it was obvious the first Elder Daemon to be apart of his authority, is Sovereign.

Sovereign is a named Reaper, and reapers are a highly-advanced machine race of synthetic-organic starships. The Reapers reside in dark space, which is the vast, mostly starless space between galaxies.

These giant machines are ancient, their true name is unknown, in fact "Reapers" was a name bestowed by the Protheans, the previous galactic power fifty thousand years before, and the geth refer to them as the Old Machines, old Godly masters of their race.

They were originally created as a "Intelligence" to solve the problem of organics and synthetics killing each other, however, this granted intelligence, evolved into sentience and free-thought, which turned against their original creator, and thus slaughtering that race, and in fact most of their kind first generation and processing others into the very first true Reaper, Harbinger.

As they'd ravished...or better said, harvested all life from various galaxies and races, literal bringers of death, and extinction, hence their new name, and terror they'd wrought for millenia, and quite possibly more.

While Harbinger is the supposed to be the big bad of the whole original Mass Effect trilogy, he was just a final boss, without much of a backstory, unless one read the comics and non-canon media.

Sovereign, he is a mentioned Reaper, which Laharl believes that is one of the most renowned Reaper, and also a great boss fight.

Hence why, Laharl, suggested Sovereign over Harbinger or whatever the last reaper is called.

He'll serve as a literal harbinger of doom, a living, giant death-weapon of galactic destruction, and the Arkefine can upgrade that Reaper, with a variety of weapons, ranging from advanced 40k varient, along with mixing in Mass Effect weaponry and infernal weaponry.

Laharl, and he is sure that his brothers, Khorne, Tzeentch, and Nurgle also sensed, the intrigued and excitement within Vashtorr, he has to get used to being a Dark God, that practically emanates all manner of emotions, like a beacon.

Vashtorr, noticed his siblings were staring at him, as his crimson orange eyes, were locked onto the older Gods, and he'd spoked in his usual daemonic vox voice, "What is the meaning of this delay. Shall we process, with this acquisition of my new vassals?" this made Nurgle laugh in his sickly, jolly, mature voice.

Nurgle, his shadowed silhouette, pointed at Vashtorr, saying he should calm down, telling Vashtorr that he'd should enjoy and relish in his accomplishments, along with trusting his words as the Chaos God of Merriment.

Vashtorr scoffed, as the Infinity Fountain, showed glimpses of the chaos, destruction, and death happening in the two worlds that previously touched by the Arkefine, this made the older Dark Gods, more interested in the previous worlds touched by them.

Tzeentch has Parasite Eve, Dark Crystal, DMC, and more worlds, Nurgle has a few as well, while still waging war in the Odin Sphere world, fighting against Odette in her underworld queendom.

Privately Laharl found it funny, in AOS, he was desperate waging war against the forces of life, under Alarielle, in this world, he was in the middle of a war of dominance for a realm of death, against the undead of Odin Sphere.

Lastly their Khorne and Laharl himself, the Blood God has some grasp in the Arrowverse through Savitar, Darksiders, and couple more, while Laharl has WoW, and others.

Regardless, they might have to send more of their influences to those suffering worlds, and reap the benefits of souls, and power from those invasions, but for now they still have some worlds to infiltrate and collect for Arkefine, Laharl himself was eager to see how the Megatrons would react, and combine into a greater daemonic being, but first Mass Effect await the Arkefine's touch...as the Infinity Fountain, shun again with power, and it showed them the next world, in a canyon desert landscape of a world...
