I did not know why I was told to wait outside whilst the so-called 'adult' gods spoke. Suetekh himself insisted I rather go back to my room like I was some sort of child that needed to take a nap whilst their parents discussed important work!
There was a part of me swimming with so much emotions that I barely felt like I knew who I was anymore. The image of Pharai, the boy who grew up in New York versus Ruthor, the Egyptian goddess, and now apparently a partial product of Hades, was so distorted a part of me felt like drinking something that could make me forget all about this.
Maybe if I had listened to my colleagues about not going to Egypt so early in my career, I would have been better off. I should have taken the position in the United Kingdom to work for the archive vault instead. Yes I would be confined to one boring room for the entire day but it was a lot better than the chaos I was currently facing.
