"Since you're here, why not come in?"
As Gu Nian was speaking with Wuming, Nan Jin Yu's voice suddenly came from the study.
Gu Nian instinctively stuck out her tongue and then turned to walk toward the study, "Coming, coming, Nan, your hearing is really good. I was speaking so softly, yet you still heard me!"
Nan Jin Yu was indeed not in the best of moods today, at least, that was the case before Gu Nian arrived.
But seeing Gu Nian drenched like a wet chicken, he instantly disregarded his concerns and got up to walk toward her.
The next moment, the white fox fur draped over him was wrapped around Gu Nian as he picked her up and placed her on a chair by the charcoal fire.
"Look at you, all wet and not afraid of catching a cold!" Nan Jin Yu's sidelong glance made Gu Nian's heart race.
"I... I didn't expect it to rain halfway here!" If it weren't closer to this place, she would have run back home.
For some reason, though, her words came out lacking assertiveness.
