Ruby Mercer was startled when she saw Christopher Moore, "How do you walk without making any sound?"
Christopher Moore stepped forward and hugged her from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder, his hands clasping her waist.
Ruby Mercer, catching the clean and refreshing lime scent from him, softly asked, "What's up?"
The man rubbed his nose against the side of her face, "I've thanked God more than once!"
Ruby Mercer, "Hmm?"
Christopher Moore turned her around, lifted her face, and confessed deeply:
"That time, with the Chinese medicine, I met you!"
Ruby Mercer looked deeply at him.
She curled her lips into a smile, "At that time, I was only afraid, meeting you felt like my world was collapsing. Later, knowing I had to give myself to you to get the divorce papers, I felt God was unfair; why did Alvin Hargreaves's mistake have to punish me!"
Christopher Moore kissed her forehead, "Everything is still in time!"
Ruby Mercer smiled, "Now looking back, I just feel regret."
