Christopher Moore immediately followed, blocking her path.
He then apologized in a deep, seductive voice, "I'm sorry, okay!"
The word "okay" sent shivers down Ruby Mercer's spine, and she unconsciously rubbed her arms.
Seeing her action, Christopher said, "I really have a numb leg!"
As he spoke, he hobbled towards her, trying to rest his arm on her shoulder.
However, Ruby sidestepped him without a word, "Stay away from me!"
Christopher pursed his lips, "I've been feeling guilty since I got back last night and couldn't sleep, so I came in the middle of the night to wait for you, and I've been sitting here for three hours!"
Ruby's eyes flickered, unsure if he was telling the truth.
Christopher continued, "There's nothing between me and Ella King, not like what you think!"
Speaking, he approached her by two steps, "Besides, if you're jealous, you should tell me, otherwise, I can't know what's in your heart!"
