Christopher Moore looked at her like that, suddenly becoming irritable.
He snatched the cup from her hand, forcing her to meet his gaze.
"Ruby Mercer, can you stop being so fake?"
Ruby Mercer knitted her brows, "First, let go of me, you're hurting me!"
Recalling her injuries, the man stared at her face fiercely.
Ruby Mercer was flustered by his gaze, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
As she spoke, she started to awkwardly adjust the blanket around her.
Seeing her flustered state, Christopher Moore sat down beside her bed, taking her hand.
"Ruby, give me some response!"
The man forced her to look up, "Just say the word, let me wait for you, and I won't refuse or laugh at you!"
"You know, yesterday I had a thousand ways to have you without anyone finding out! But I chose patience and to announce it to the public, showing I want to go through proper channels!"
He gently lifted her chin, gazing directly into her eyes.
