Various images flashed before Rune's eyes. Death, carnage, sadness--countless tragedies experienced in seconds. Yet none of it felt unnatural. In fact, Rune did not even notice how strange it all was.
Before he knew it he was still holding Berg's hand, only he looked different from the Berg he had seen just a few moments ago.
The sky above them was dark, and Berg's armor was tattered. His arms were bruised and a line of blood dripped from the corner of his mouth. His grip tightened on Rune's hand as he tossed away into a nearby trench.
"Helga, get him out of here! I'll hold them off."
The Dragon Kings had descended and one now was approaching from behind Berg. Dense green lighting crackled all around him and released a poison mist, while at his sides stood two large abominations. They were beastly and wolf-like in appearance, and they had multiple long chains for tails.
Someone caught Rune from behind, and he watched as Berg slowly turned to face them.
