Bang!
A muffled explosion rang out, followed instantly by a gruesome spray of blood...
It was as if invisible blood packs had suddenly burst in the air. Red blood splattered everywhere in violent bursts. Caught dead center was Hughie Campbell—once again drenched in gore.
The video ended there. Outside the glowing screen, the audience sat silent for a moment—then all at once, the room erupted into chaos.
"Oh my god, that was insane! That explosion was straight out of a gore flick! I can't believe Translucent, a member of the Seven, went out in such a ridiculous way!"
"I mean sure, Translucent wasn't a saint or anything—definitely not the selfless hero the ads made him out to be—but did he really deserve to die like that?"
"Are you stupid or just pretending? That guy clearly didn't give a damn about normal people. I'd bet anything his hands are just as bloody as Homelander's or A-Train's. He had it coming. That's what justice looks like!"
"Damn right! We were all played. These so-called heroes aren't champions of justice—they're just criminals drunk on power!"
"Even if they're criminals, that doesn't mean they should be executed by some freaks and mercs using the same kind of violence. That's not justice either."
In the world of The Boys, the audience was deeply divided.
After years of propaganda and deep investment from Vought and the Seven, their influence ran deep. Entire generations grew up idolizing superheroes, watching their shows, buying their merchandise.
So even though this so-called Quiz Game had exposed a mountain of dirt—making both Vought and the Seven look like complete frauds—there were still plenty of die-hard fans clinging to belief.
Some even went as far as to claim the Quiz Game was an alien conspiracy designed to break Earth's superhero alliances before launching an invasion.
Inside Vought Tower, Translucent looked absolutely miserable, muttering curse after curse under his breath.
"Fuck... Shit! Goddamn it! This is gonna be my eternal black mark…"
Deep and A-Train gave him sympathetic glances—but deep down, they were reveling in it. First Homelander had taken the heat, and now it was Translucent's turn to become the latest scandal.
Things were getting messier by the minute.
In the Eternal Space, Deadpool was clearly the most excited among the players. He spread his hands like a blooming flower and laughed.
"Wow! Wow! That was amazing! That exploding anal bomb really packed a punch! Hughie, I gotta say—I'm starting to see you in a whole new light!.
Stephen and Thor were both eyeing Hughie with newfound wariness. The man who had looked so timid and weak just moments ago had, in the video, masterminded a bloody and spectacular execution.
Annie shook her head and sighed.
"Hughie... this one's gonna be hard to explain away."
Hughie, looking just as pale as his future self in the video, had sweat dripping from his forehead. He forced a smile, but it looked more like he was about to cry.
"Guess I don't have a choice anymore, do I?"
Billy crossed his arms and looked at him with a weighty expression.
"Hughie, follow your gut. I know you're sick of how things used to be. I know you want to be a real man. Let's go teach those untouchable bastards a lesson. Let's show them there are still people out there who can hold them accountable. Isn't that what we all want?"
Hughie let out a bitter chuckle.
"I don't have grand ideals like you, Billy… but honestly, I just want justice for Robin."
As they were speaking, the glowing screen displayed a new question:
[Which of the following witnessed Homelander destroy a plane?]
[A: Deep
B: Annie
C: Queen Maeve
D: Black Noir]
Stephen was the first to respond.
"Wait, I think I remember this… In an earlier video, didn't Deep find traces of laser burns on the wreckage? So… the answer is A?"
Annie frowned.
"Well, it definitely wasn't me—I can't fly, and I don't have X-ray vision."
Thor raised an eyebrow.
"If I remember correctly, Deep found those traces while recovering the wreckage underwater, not by seeing it happen. The question says 'witnessed.' Doesn't sound like A is the right choice."
The moment "destroying a plane" came up, they all instinctively linked it to that incident from an earlier video—Homelander executing passengers to cover his tracks.
Based on that footage, Homelander acted alone. Deep only became suspicious afterward and told Madelyn about it.
So in that context, A was suspicious, but maybe not the right answer.
Billy folded his arms and said thoughtfully:
"You all sure this is about that plane? The one we already saw?"
Thor shrugged.
"What else could it be? You think he's just flying around zapping airplanes for fun? Even he's not that insane… right?"
Hughie, who had calmed down a bit, chimed in.
"I think Thor and Billy are right. The answer has to be between C and D."
"Black Noir? You guys actually know anything about him?" Deadpool asked, intrigued.
Billy raised an eyebrow, thinking aloud.
"He's the most mysterious one in the Seven. Come to think of it, he kinda looks like you—only instead of twin katanas, he carries twin daggers. And everything he wears is pitch black."
That got Deadpool's attention.
"Well, since we've already got Superman, Wonder Woman, and Flash knockoffs… having a Deadpool knockoff isn't that crazy either. I'll pick D, then—gotta show some love to my knockoff!"
As chaotic as ever, Deadpool somehow still sat at the top of the leaderboard—driving the others crazy.
Soon, the countdown began. Deadpool was the fastest and snagged the answer key first. He picked D.
Thor chose B, Stephen picked C, and both Billy and Hughie ended up agreeing with Deadpool and chose D as well.
Annie gave Thor a strange look before selecting C herself. She added,
"Homelander and Maeve used to operate as a pair. They're definitely more familiar with each other's dirty secrets than anyone else."
The countdown ended. The correct answer was revealed:
["Player Wade Wilson: Incorrect. Minus 4 points.
Player Thor Odinson, Player Billy Butcher, player Hughie Campbell: Incorrect. Minus 1 point each]
[Congratulations, player Stephen Strange and player Annie January: Correct. +1 point each]
