The night was deep, the lights in the house were still on, and Rosie Scott, wrapped in a blanket, had cried herself to exhaustion, half-curled on the bed, watching the light seeping through the gaps.
Jane turned her head, listening to her gradually subsiding cries, her tone fairly gentle, "Can you tell me what happened?"
The girl nestled in the blanket didn't utter a word, Jane sighed softly, "It's okay if you don't want to talk about it. Rosie Scott, I just want to ask you one thing: Do you really want to be an actress?"
A muffled, nasal voice came from under the covers, "Yes."
"Since you do, next time when you take action against others, make sure everything is watertight, otherwise, if someone exposes what you did, do you know how terrifying public opinion can be?"
"How many popular celebrities have become the laughingstock and quit the entertainment industry over trivial matters."
