Audrey woke up confused yet angry, Confused in the sense of why Marie would kill Damaris mother and angry that she was pulled out before she could understand anything.
Audrey sat up sluggishly, she raised her left hand to the side of her head. It took time for her eyes to get familiar with the environment,the environment was dark.
how long have I been out?, she asked herself.
Her thinking was cut short by the sound of light breathing beside her, she couldn't see the person properly.
She couldn't see the full body, but the breathing was still there. She quickly turned on the bed lamp thinking it was Damaris laying by the edge of the bed, but to her surprise it was Tyson.
He was seated on a stool with his head placed on the bed. Audrey couldn't help but stare, He looked so peaceful. thinking of sleeping where is Damaris? She asked herself.
Damaris. I wonder how she's doing? she seemed really worried earlier, Audrey thought crawling down from the bed.
Half way down the bed, a short wave of headache struck Audrey.
"Mmmmmm...", she clenched her head.
The pain weighed her down, she stayed there for a while. She shook away the pain then climbed down the bed. She looked to see if her wince of pain woke Tyson up, but he was still sound asleep.
Audrey gently walked out of the room, heading towards the stairs. On her way there, her stomach let out a loud grumble.
she clenched stomach, trying to reduce the loudness of the sound, "I haven't eaten since morning".
What was on Audrey's mind right now was finding Damaris, she was already done with the first stairs and was half way through the first path of the second stairs,when she came face to face with Vanessa.
"What are you doing wondering around the mansion? this isn't your house", Vanessa spoke in a condescending manner.
is this how Marie taught her daughters to treat guest?, Audrey asked herself.
Audrey didn't pay attention to what else she said, because it got exhausting and pointless. She still had a lot of stairs to complete.
Audrey spared her a lazy glance, then sighed.
"Are you deaf or somethi-".
"Deaf to nonsense? Then yes I am deaf", Audrey said frustrated, then contined walking down the stairs without sparing her another glance. Doesn't she know when someone is in the mood to argue, besides what was she doing up so late at night, Audrey thought.
"Such arrogance. You need to know your place", Vanessa yelled. Words of her mother, Audrey sighed in her mind.
"oh Audrey", she said, her voice calm and sweet.
Audrey wondered if one of the boys had passed, making her tone of voice change.
Audrey stopped in her tracks, then with an annoyed tone said, "what?!".
Vanessa was already right behind her, and without warning. "Good night".
Audrey tumbled down the stairs, her head colliding with force each step. It continued for a few seconds before, she landed face flat on the ground.
Audrey could hear Vanessa laughing like a maniac, as the voice faded.
She couldn't lift her head up, the pain was so much it held her down. if she was this evil, how will her elder sister be like?, Audrey asked herself.
Luckily Damaris and Reign came at the right time, "Audrey!".
"Just the person I was looking for", Audrey said, her head still on the floor.
"What happened?", Reign helped Damaris to Audrey.
"Your sister really is a b*tch", Audrey groaned trying to lift herself up, but couldnt. Reign didn't say a word, just stood listening to them speak.
"What did she do to you?!", Damaris asked worried, sitting beside Audrey.
"She pushed me down the stairs".
"Forget about that, I'm starving", Audrey said struggling to sit up with all the energy in her body.
"Reign", Damaris called, with out further instructions he knew what to do.
Before Audrey could protest, he picked her up.
"You're injured, look your head is bleeding".
"I might die of hunger, before treatment comes", Audrey whined.
I could eat a whole pot of food, Audrey thought.
Reign helped taking Audrey to the kitchen, then came back to pick Damaris and took her to the kitchen.
