Chapter 49 - Chapter forty three : Kidnapped by a Kiss

Raye's phone buzzed mid-class, startling her out of her notes. She frowned at the screen:

Mystery Texter : Meet me in the biology lab. Now.

Her stomach flipped.

Now?

What did I even do?

She stared at the message again , she still need to change the title though ...he wasn't mysterious again .

She whispered to Jane, who gave a shrug and an "oh wow" glance, as they existed the class .

"He didn't say anything just biology lab now ?" Jane asked licking a lollipop.

"Yeah, just meet me at biology lab .._ ....oh this guy is going to give me a permanent headache " Raye said grumpily while Jane chuckled softly beside her.

"Don't fret, maybe something happened , go check on him , I will be waiting in the cafeteria okay " Jane assured her as Raye stared at her for a few minutes .

She patted her shoulder encouragingly , like she was about to go on a war .

But the text it really did something .

It felt urgent and there was no room for no _ not like he would accept no Raye thought nodding softly she walked slowly to the biology lab .

The biology lab would be deserted by now , since most student would either be in the cafe or attending another class by now .

Some actually had gone home or to their dorm , done with their class for that day .

Her bag bounced against her side as she maneuvered through the crowded corridors, heart hammering.

The text didn't explain anything, and Kyle rarely texted like this. Usually, it was calm, teasing… or confusingly sweet.

By the time she reached the biology building, her palms were clammy.

Raye took a few minutes to breath in and out feeling anxious already .

She hoped he was alright or something she thought heaving a sigh .

She walked in, stomach twisting.

The doors were slightly ajar. She pushed them open and froze.

Kyle stood there.

Arms crossed, leaning casually against the counter, his crimson red hoodie pulled low and dark hair falling over his eyes.

The soft fluorescent lights highlighted the sharp planes of his face. He didn't move when she entered. He just watched.

"Raye," he said, voice low, smooth—serious. No trace of the teasing smirk she'd come to expect.

Her throat went dry. "Kyle… what—what's going on?"

Without a word, he closed the distance between them, long, confident strides that made her heart skip.

Before she could blink, Kyle shut the door behind her with a click.

LOCKED .

"What—"

He tugged her wrist and backed her into the teacher's desk so fast she lost her breath.

"Kyle—what are you—"

"Shh."

His hands gripped the edge of the desk, trapping her between his arms.

Her heart thundered.

No smirk. No sarcastic flirt. Just heat.

Before she could react or process how she has been caged to this extent , he reached for her, gripping her waist gently but firmly, and lifted her onto the lab table. Her knees hit the cold metal lightly, and her arms instinctively went around his neck.

Huh ???

Raye blinked twice staring at Kyle and then at the door heart pounding furiously in her chest .

Was this going to be a normal routine _ having heart attack ...if so she wasn't sure she wanted to find love again Raye thought glancing at the door and then back at Kyle who wasn't smiling ...making matters worst .

She gulped softly as she quickly placed her hand down on the desk clutching the edge tightly .

She prayed to the heavens someone wouldn't walk in on them .

Kyle—wait!" she stammered, but he silenced her with a soft, intense look.

"Shh… not a word," he murmured, his forehead brushing hers. "No one's here. Just us."

Raye's mind raced. What if someone walks in? What if Jane or someone from the class—

"Why were you letting him touch you?"

She swallowed turned to look at him with a frown clearly confused .

"Who ??" .

"The guy at the library , he touched you " Kyle gritted out like he was trying hard to control his anger .

Raye frown deepen , guy from the library .

The only person she talked to ,today , that was a boy ,was Alex and he didn't touch her it was more of a shake .

She didn't even notice it , but after thinking deep that was what she could remember .

Don't tell me he called me here because of a small touch Raye thought sighing tiredly she felt like she was developing a headache .

She didn't want to say it , rather she shut her lip seeing he wasn't in his normal mood , so she tried to soothe him a little .

"We were talking and he asked for lesson ."

"You were melting."

She tried to find her usual sass.

A comeback.

A head tilt.

Anything.

But he shut it all down.

One hand slid to her thigh. Firm. Possessive.

Her lips parted.

Raye eyes went huge as she refuse to look down at the big ,warm hand which was now on her thigh .

She was wearing a high waist flare skirt which stopped at her knee .

She never once thought she would ever regret putting on a skirt ... ever .

Raye felt tensed at the situation , she couldn't find her voice again to protest , she could only stare dumbfoundedly while occasionally glancing at the door .

Kyle leaned closer, lips hovering near hers. His breath was warm, and for a moment, everything else—the campus, the noise, even her own thoughts—faded.

His eyes snapped to look at her trembling lips and if it was possible Raye felt like his gaze darken , even further and he squeezed her thigh not with force just to make Raye know he was still here .

Then his lips pressed against hers.

It wasn't rushed or messy.

It was deliberate, measured, and mine.

His index finger moved in small circles gently but confidently on her thigh , while his other hand found it way to her hair , placing it at the back of her head ,tilting her slightly, to deepen the kiss.

Raye's eyes widened, then closed instinctively, her pulse racing, heat climbing to her cheeks.

"Mhm mm".

A small moan tore out from her mouth, when he bit her bottom lip as his tongue snaked into her mouth skillfully .

She thought she might melt, lose herself entirely in that moment.

When he finally pulled back slightly.

Begrudgingly, just enough for her to breathe, his dark eyes searched hers, soft but demanding.

"You are driving me crazy Raye " Kyle said looking down before he raised his head to stare at her again .

Raye blinked twice cluelessly, wasn't she the one that suppose to say such words .

Say it," he whispered, low and firm. "Say you're mine."

Raye's heart thumped painfully in her chest. "K-Kyle… what if someone sees us?" she whispered, still dizzy from the kiss.

He smirked faintly, leaning his forehead against hers. "Then they'll know. I don't care. You're mine, Raye. Only mine. Understand?"

Her mind spun. Only mine? Did he really mean that?

What did she expect , he was Kyle , he broke rules ...but she didn't ...

She never knew having feelings for a bad guy could be this hectic and stress demanding .

She nodded slowly, breath hitching. "I… I understand."

"Say you're mine."

She blinked. "W-What?"

He leaned down, voice hot against her ear. "Say. You're. Mine."

"I... I'm not—"

"You are," he growled. "You've been mine since the first damn message. ."

His forehead pressed against hers.

"No one touches what's mine," he said again. "I don't share. I don't flirt for fun.

You think I'm playing with your head? I'm not. I'm in it.

I own it."

Her breath caught. "Kyle..."

He pulled back just enough to look into her eyes. That rare seriousness.

That dark, chaotic truth.

"I like you," he said. "I want you .

I need you ray . But you wouldn't believe me."

"I didn't know—"

"You don't have to say anything," he cut in, voice lower now, gentler but still heated. "I just need you to stop pretending. Stop running."

She looked away.

"Look at me," he said.

She did.

Gosh she did , and she didn't even know why her body moved at every command.

She ran _ walk to this place in pure haste like someone had died just to meet a jealous Kyle .

His hand slid further up her thigh, then stopped.

Not touching further.

Just reminding her.

"You're mine, Raye," he whispered again. "Say it."

The hallway echoed in silence.

Then, faintly, she whispered—

"...I'm yours."

Kyle's lips curved into a satisfied, soft smile. He rested his hands lightly on her hips, gaze intense. "Good. Just… don't forget it."

Raye's chest rose and fell rapidly as she watched him step back, finally giving her space to catch her breath. Her fingers lingered on her lips, heart still racing.

He gave one last long look before turning and walking out of the lab, confident and calm, leaving her frozen on the table.

Her knees were weak, her thoughts scattered.

"Wow," she whispered to herself, finally lowering her hands. "I… I think I just got kidnapped by a kiss."

Outside the lab, the campus carried on as if nothing had happened, but Raye's world had shifted. Kyle's shadow lingered in her mind, the memory of the kiss imprinted, and the words—you're mine—echoing louder than any lecture or class.
