Shiro looked up at Haruto with a bandage around his shoulder and the left part of his chest. "Can Callie and I sit on the balcony?" Sophia asked. Shiro looked at the two girls. Shiro nodded, "Just sit near the windows so we can see you…" Shiro said. The girls nodded, sliding open the door and walking out. They closed the door behind them, walking over to two chairs. The two girls sat down, looking at the town.
Inside, Haruto and Shiro would be sitting down next to each other in silence. "Hey… Haruto…" Shiro said. It was silent for a few seconds. It felt… Awkward. Like they were strangers sitting on a bus next to each other. Or as if they were two toys set up in a play house. It was quiet. Until Haruto broke the silence. "Hm…?" Haruto asked. Shiro looked back down at the ground. Both of them did. "Are we… The strongest..?" Shiro asked. It was quiet once more.
You could hear the sound of the air conditioner cycling throughout the room. You could hear the birds chirping outside. The wind breeze. The ocean waves splash on the shore. "Yeah…" Haruto answered. There was then a knock on the door. "You answer it… I'll be on the balcony… Guarding the girls…" Haruto said. Shiro nodded.
Haruto got up, exiting to the balcony. He closed the door behind him. Another knock was heard on the door. Shiro got up, walking toward the door. Another knock, from the same door. Shiro opened the door, "What do you want." Shiro asked. Two US Army soldiers would be standing there with a suited man behind them. The two soldiers stood up against the wall, making a path for the more fancy-dressed man.
"I am here to talk to a Shiro Hanami." The man said. Shiro raised a brow, "Can I help you?" Shiro asked. The man nodded, "Yes, I come on behalf of the President from our very own 10th District." The man said. Shiro's eyes widened. "And what does he want?" Shiro asked. The man smiled, "May I come in?" The man asked. Shiro shook his head, "No, but I can come outside." Shiro said.
The man nodded, "Very well…" The man said. Shiro stepped out, closing the door behind him. "So… What did you want to talk about..?" Shiro asked. The man smiled, "We come from the white house… We have been sent here by The President of The United States himself." The man said. Shiro nodded, with his arms folded. "The President has been keeping a good eye and you and wants to offer you something…"
The man said. Shiro had a confused look on his face, "Well…" Shiro said. The man smiled, nodding. "We've come to offer you the head general position in our military." The man said. Shiro looked at the man in shock. "You've come to offer me what?" Shiro asked. "Head General, our highest position in Military control." The man said. Shiro chuckled, "Y-You're fucking with me… Aren't you…" Shiro said. The man looked at the two soldiers in confusion. "Oh wow, you're being serious…" Shiro cleared his throat. He scratched the side of his head. "Well, my answer is no… So screw off." Shiro said. The man sighed, "Well… You might want to consider it… You never know… Might be the best opportunity in your life." The man said. Shiro sighed, opening the door. "Yeah, I'll pass…" Shiro said. Shiro walked back into the room, closing the door behind him. Shiro walked onto the balcony. Callie would be staring out to the city while Haruto and Sophia talked. Shiro looked at Callie in confusion. "You alright..?" Shiro asked. Callie looked at Shiro, surprised. "Oh, uhm I'm fine…" Callie said. Shiro raised a brow, "Don't lie…" Shiro said. Callie looked at Shiro and chuckled. "What do you mean… I'm not lying…" Callie said. Shiro crouched in front of her, looking her in the eyes. "It's okay to admit if you're scared…" Shiro said. Callie nodded, "But… That's not it…" Callie said. Shiro looked slightly more confused. "Then what..?" Shiro asked. Haruto and Sophia looked over. "It's uhm…"
"That guy…" Callie said. Shiro nodded, "Take your time…" Shiro said. Callie began to slightly shake. "It scares me to think about it…" Callie said. Shiro nodded, "He…" Callie said. Shiro looked over at Haruto with a worried look. "He looks like a boy at my school…" Callie said. Haruto and Shiro's eyes widened in shock. Shiro looked Callie in the eyes. "What's this boy's name!?" Shiro asked. Callie looked up at the sky. "Uhm…" Callie hesitated. Sophia looked at Callie surprised. "His name..?" Callie said. Shiro nodded, "His name, yes." Shiro said. Callie rubbed her chin, looking at Shiro. "His name is Homura…" Callie said. Haruto raised a brow. "That could be anyone… It's a common Japanese last name…" Haruto said. Shiro nodded in agreement. "Do you remember the first name..?" Shiro asked. Callie looked him in the eyes confused. "First name..?" Callie said. "Yuki… Yuki Homura." Callie said.
