"My car is so new, only a fool would sell it for scrap."
Julius Goodman gently wiped his beloved car and said softly, "Ava, I might not be able to accompany you for a while."
"Why?"
"Even though the teacher is out of danger, he won't be able to work for a while. I have to take over and finish the Immortal Crane Offering Longevity project for him," Julius explained.
Lately, he's been spending most of his time going to the hospital and hasn't had much rest. Tonight, he'll get a good night's sleep and start studying the design drafts and that piece of jadeite tomorrow.
Despite the confident way he spoke to Len Palmer at the hospital, changing longtime habits isn't that easy. Altering his carving techniques to mimic Len Palmer's line style is not an easy feat either.
"You're helping him with the carving?"
Ava Kent was quite surprised. When had the perpetually unlucky Julius Goodman gotten such good luck?
She always thought his one stroke of good fortune was meeting Lucas White.
