Violet Foote had already seen Charles Foote return through her window. As he prepared to go into his room, she forcefully pulled him in, pouting and looking at him with displeasure. "Charles, what did Dad say to you?"
Charles looked at her helplessly. "Dad said he's going to let you out, either by marrying someone off or me marrying a lady."
Violet: "..."
She had always considered herself good-tempered, but this time she was so angry she was about to curse. She paced around the room for a while, as if making up her mind.
"Brother Charles, help me escape from home."
Violet called him Charles when she was happy, and only called him Brother Charles when she needed his help.
Even though he was aware of this deep down, Charles felt he had no choice when it came to Violet.
"In a few days, I'll find an opportunity to take you out. But in the meantime, you can't let Dad find out anything."
