Wendy regained consciousness more than two hours later.
Todd was still by her side.
When he saw her open her eyes, he walked over to help her sit up and even brought her an additional pillow to make her feel more comfortable.
"Where's Michael and the children? Are they here yet?" she asked anxiously.
He sighed and smiled a little sadly. "I just knew your first question would be about them."
She ignored his remark and asked, "Still no news of them?"
"You're the one who fainted, so why can't you think of yourself first?" he replied.
"Corrine, it's the second time you've fainted."
"I..." Wendy looked down and said, "I suppose my blood sugar levels were low."
She had guessed as much when she saw the drip bag hanging next to her.
She had gone out without breakfast and waited in the airport anxiously until noon.
After that, she had gotten into Todd's car with the intention of going home to grab her passport and fly again. She hadn't taken any food or water the whole day.
