"Bloodline suppression?" the dragon whispered. The word came out uncertain, as if speaking it made it more real.
"Impossible!" He rejected the idea.
Arthur's smile widened slightly. He took a single step forward, his emperor's armor gleaming faintly in the darkness.
"Correct," Arthur said simply. "But not just any bloodline suppression."
The dragon's mind raced. Bloodline suppression only worked when one bloodline was superior to another within the same race.
It was a natural hierarchy that existed among all creatures with bloodline powers. Those with higher ranked bloodlines could suppress those with lower ones.
'But that's impossible,' the dragon thought desperately.
'My bloodline is one of the purest among true dragons. Only those with royal dragon bloodlines could suppress me, and this human shouldn't have any dragon blood at all!'
Yet the pressure continued to build. The dragon could feel it clearly now. Its own bloodline was being suppressed.
