Chapter 112 - Chapter 112

Trishanna awoke the next morning, covered by a blanket, her head resting on a warm, furry body, her bare feet curled on another. Her eyes flew open as the memories of last night rushed in. She raised the blanket, only to see her baby, now in human form, snuggled gently in her arms, his little pink lips still greedily wrapped around one of her nipples even though they were fast asleep. She shook her head, leaning down to kiss the brown hair, just like their father, she thought with a smile. That man was obsessed with her boobs and it seemed the apple didn't fall too far from the tree. Her movement woke the men, who, still in their wolf forms, roused from their rest to look at her. Trishanna smiled at Bradley, lovingly stroking him, before turning to James, sitting as she gently pulled her breast from his mouth. He frowned a bit, but settled back into sleep. She smiled and looked at his father. "He's definitely yours, you know", she said with a cheeky grin. James shifted into his human form, a look of pride on his face. "He? It's a boy?" he asked, awe filling his voice as her looked down at the little person in her arms. Trishanna nodded, "Do you want to hold him?" she asked. James swallowed, his irrational fear building; he didn't realise how tiny a baby could be. "What if I drop him?" he asked, his voice low, not wanting to wake the child who held his gaze captive. "You won't. I know you won't", and with that, she stretched out her hands, giving James no time to hesitate.

He automatically reached for his son and soon held him in his arms, pulling him close to his chest. "My son, my little boy", he whispered, his heart so full of a love that he never knew could exist. He gently stroked one finger down his cheek, marvelling at its softness and how real it is. "I'm really a father?" he asked, as if this was all some dream he was afraid of waking from. Trishanna shifted, leaning towards him, her eyes unable to stay away from her baby. "Yes, you are. Isn't he beautiful?" She said, running a finger over his brown hair. James looked up, his eyes filled with tears. He looked at her, then turned his gaze towards Bradley, who had also shifted. "We have a son, my friend. Our heir and legacy." James handed the baby to Bradley, who held him with the same fear and wonder on his face.

When he first woke up, seeing Trishanna and James bond over their child made his heart ache and he wondered if her would ever really be part of that, but when James gave him his son to hold, saying and showing that he was just as mcuh the father as he was, every last trace of doubt and hurt, the ones he didn't even know he still carried melted away with his tears. They fell, hitting his son's cheeks, who clearly didn't appreciate any form of bathing. He began to fuss, his little cry making everyone laugh, but all of their eyes were wet, as they stared down at the perfect little being that was going to change their lives in ways they don't even know.

Lorenzo, who woke up at the tiny sound, got up and rushed to the cave. He leaned in, but James's growl made him hastily pull back. He wondered if he was going to be so cranky when Nicole gave birth, the thought making him wonder how the pack would deal with so many growling males. Trishanna chided him, and he whinied like a little kid, about how her body was only for her mates and her breasts for their son. He could hear her eye roll from there, and he chuckled. Things were going to get interesting. Trishanna pulled the blanket around her, and when she was presentable enough, she asked Lorenzo to come in. He did, sinking to his knees as he gave her a once-over. He asked for her hand, checking hr pulse. He checked her eyes, her ears and whatever else he could in that cramped space. He then turned to Bradley, who could take his eyes off the baby. "Alpha, could I see the baby?" Bradley's grip tightened, his jaw clenched even as a low growl began in his chest. The baby seemed to like it as he stopped fussing, curling up to it. Trishanna placed one hand on his crossed leg, giving it a squeeze. "Brad, let the doctor check our son. I'm sure you want to be certain that everything is okay." Bradley hesitated for a moment but handed his over, his gruff warning of being careful, wanting Lornezo to do an eye roll of his own. "Yes, Alpha", was all he said as he took the baby and began checking him, amazed at how he was able not only to shift in the womb, but to shift back, something that can only be done in puberty.

The little one fussed as he was turned this way and that, Lorenzo checking him the best he could, but so far, there was no indication of any concerns. He was healthy, the right size for any alpha's son and no complications. He handed the babe back to Bradley, sighing as his glare shifted to the boy in his arms. "Luna, how do you feel? I mean, uhhh... down there". Trishanna closed her eyes, feeling her body. "I feel fine," She said, opening her eyes. "That's good. Would you be able to stand, I came with a mountain bike Its parked a bit further away, but I can bring it and you could ride with me back home. James growled at that. "No, she will ride with us, holding our babe, right brother?" he asked, looking a Bradley. "Yes, we will bring our mate and our son home ourselves". Just then Trishanna stomach rumbled. "I thought you might need to refuel so I grabbed some stuff. Let me go get them." Lorenzo left the cave and Bradley gave the baby back to Trishanna, who uncovered herself, exposing her breast for the baby to eat. James kissed the side of her head. "Thank you my love for giving us this beautiful blessing". Bradley kissed her other cheek. "you did well, Luna", their words of praise making her cheeks warm. She looked down, so glad that everything went well for both of them.

The doctor returned, bringing another blanket, diapers, wipes and a few sandwiches in ziplock bags. He also had some apples and bottles of water. "Here, you should eat and gain back your strength. When you are ready, you should head back. Alpha," he turned to Bradley, I think you should let the men know and position themselves so you will be guarded." James nodded. "Yes, we should, because we're still not sure about the attack yesterday. I'm going to get some of my men; they're closer. Maybe we should go to my pack?" Bradley rubbed his chin, "Yes, I think that's a good idea. I'll reach out to my guys and have them do another sweep and give back-up." Lorenzo nodded and backed out. James opened one of the sandwiches, handing it to Trishanna, who tried reaching for it with her free hand, but he pulled it back. "Let us take care of you". He moved the sandwich to her mouth, and she took a bite with a smile, a little shake of her head. El chimed in, encouraging her to allow her mates, as this is expected of them, and they are going to keep at it until they are sure she is fine. She should just enjoy it. Bradley opened the bottle of water, bringing it to her lips. She leaned back, taking a drink, not realising how thirsty she was. The men took turns feeding her until she had eaten three sandwiches and an apple. She paused during this time to clean up her little "Chip", she calls him in her mind, placing a diaper on him and swaddling him in the blanket. She patted his back until he burped, a cute sound that made them all smile. She knew that Chip was now going to be the centre of their world, and she couldn't be happier. She did wonder how Bradley would feel when he actually saw and smelled the babe, but he accepted him completely. The two men took turns rubbing their faces on the blanket, marking his as theirs, then turned their attention her her. When they were satisfied, James stood stretching out his hand to Trishanna. She handed Chip to Bradley, who was standing as well, and she allowed James to help her up.

Adjusting the blanket so it won't slip easily, she looked around, spotting Lorenzo in the distance. He waved, letting her know all was well. James sniffed and nodded, noting that his men were in place. "We can go", but Trishanna placed on hand on his arm. "Wait for me, please". She took Chip from Bradley and walked away, the men following close behind. She went to the rosebush and she knelt. "Hi Rosie, I just wanted to bring my son for him to meet his grandma. Isn't he beautiful?" She sniffed, looking down at her son, who looked at her with his unfocused eyes. "I wish you were here to meet him, but I'm gonna tell him all about you. I know Sammy will. I want to let you know that my mates are wonderful, and I'm sure everything is going to work out with us. I love you mom." She felt Bradley and James kneel next to her, bowing slightly as they paid their respects. "I assure you Miss Rosie that James and I will take care of Trishanna till our dying day." James added, "I'm sorry that you're no longer here, and I'm sorry for all the wrong I've done, but know that I will spend the rest of my life and even beyond to make up for it. I hope that you can forgive this foolish pup."

Trishanna was moved to tears, seeing her mates do this for her. She almost felt like Rosie placed a hand on her shoulder, giving her blessing. With one more sniff, she awkwardly stood. "Alright, it's time to introduce the packs to their new heir." The men stood, James shifting, to allow Bradley to help her onto his back. When she was settled, he handed the baby to her before he shifted as well. Lorenzo had the motobike, but he walked next to it, his sheepish explanation of not wanting the noise to wake the baby making Tishanna smile. Bradley looked to her, and with a nod, they all began walking back to Bloodmoon, ready to begin this next chapter in their lives.
