I cleared my throat, "Ahem… Ira, I don't mind going on another date with you but… I'm a little busy at the moment so maybe another day? You see, I don't like doing such things by halves and if you were to take me away for the date, I wouldn't be able to concentrate and you wouldn't like that, right?"
She tilted her head at me, "That doesn't matter? I don't need you to give me any attention as long as you're there."
What the heck, then what's the point of the date?
That's what I wanted to blurt out but I have a feeling she would just answer that with a question about what even is the point of dates to begin with.
