Chris rushed out of the house, he couldn't believe what he just heard, he left the hospital for just one day and everything just went wrong in a matter of days.
"What's the problem with you, Chris?" Grace asked her brother seeing him rush out of the study like that. But Chris didn't say anything to her, he's too frightened and nervous to say anything, and he's literally breaking down this very minute.
"Kyle, do you have any idea what happened?" she asked him.
"I don't know but he received a call from the doctor, I don't know anything else. But it might have to do with Chris's mom," he said.
"What? Did something happen to Jane?" She asked and ran after her brother.
"Hey, Grace wait up allow me to drive you there. You can't go there in this state," he said and ran after her as well.
He has no idea why these people are behaving like that. Jane must be really important to everyone in this house.
Chris drove into the hospital as fast as he could, he headed for the ward and met Mike there doing only God knows what. He saw Jane with a bandage over her head and there was blood as well.
The machine was no longer in her mouth but, her eyes were still closed.
"What happened?" he asked anyone willing to answer him.
"I have no idea what happened, I just came here and met her like this on the floor. I think she stood up or something." Mrs Whitney said with tears in her eyes. She's also as scared as hell.
"I need you all to calm down," he said but Chris was not having it. He needs to know what happened.
"We checked the security surveillance and this is what we found," he said and that very minute Grace and Kyle came in as well. They were both right behind Chris all this while.
Ever since she was attacked the other time. There have been cameras installed in the ward as instructed by Chris.
"What happened to her?" Grace asked the question.
"We are just about to find out," Chris said and then the recording played.
"What damn news did she listen to?" Chris asked Mike after watching the footage, apparently, she watched something on TV that triggered that reaction from her.
"There has been news going on that you are engaged to be married to Angel. It's everywhere," he said to them.
"I think that's what she watched," he said.
"What!!" Chris exclaimed. He has no idea what he's talking about, who the hell is getting married to that bitch.
Kyle turned the TV on to verify what the doctor was saying and it turned out to be true.
"Someone is behind this, get me Jack now," Chris yelled. He will make whoever did this will pay multiple times he will not let this slide.
"So what's going on with her now?" he asked him.
"As you can see in the footage, she hit her head. Let's just hope that she didn't suffer any internal injury. We've already carried out some tests we will just wait for the results." Mike explained and Chris went sober that instant.
This is hard on him, seeing her like that. Only heaven knows what she must have thought at that moment. She wakes up from a coma and the news she wakes up to is him getting married to Angel.
"My love please come back to me"Chris cried out.
"I swear to you that what you saw there is nothing but a lie, I would never have anything to do with Angel. Please come back to me." he cried and everyone present could not help but feel emotional as well. Grace was also tearing up.
"Don't worry brother, I'm sure that she's a strong girl, she will make it you will see" Kyle said consoling his brother and the next thing that came up was the voice of Jane.
"Chris?" she called out and Chris quickly sat up.
"Jane? My love hey I'm right here" he said to her and started to kiss her all over her face.
"You got married?" she asked even though she was in terrible pain she still managed to say something.
"No of course not, I didn't get married. I would never do that to you, it's all fake news," he said.
"Chris you might need to step aside, she's still very much hurt and she should not be talking just yet," Mike said and he had no choice but to stand up from her side. At least she's awake now and nothing serious happened to her.
"You will all need to step outside," he said to them and they left the ward so he could examine her.
Chris's phone rang as he sat down and he picked it up. It was Jack calling him.
"There's a news going around about me, find out the people behind it and let me know" he said to him and hung up.
Angel is so happy that their plans are working, she could not be any happier. This is a dream come true for her, she would be Chris's wife in no time.
Maria could also see the effect of her handwork. She just hoped that this wouldn't get traced to her. If not her son will be really mad at her.
But she didn't have a choice but to do what she did. If not that bastard was ready to expose her, now she just needed to find a way to get rid of him for good.
"She's doing better, and she's sleeping. You can only go in one at a time so you don't disturb her, please excuse me and Grace please see me in my office." Mike said and walked away.
