The handwriting does look alike, Mike wrote this note, but he said he wrote this note, but he said that he didn't, he even insisted that he didn't know anything about the letter, she had thought that the result would be negative, but he turned that she was right all these while but it turned out that she has been hoping falsely all these while.
She picked up her phone immediately and made a call to Mike
"you must miss me I guess," he said over the phone
"It's not that Mike" she said and Mike got serious
"what happened, what's going on with you?" he asked
"the note that I got from you the other day, it does carry your handwriting," she said to him.
"Are you sure about that?" he asked her
"yes I will bring it along to me to the hospital when I'm coming over" she said
"I swear to you that I didn't write that letter or note, please believe me, I beg you," he said but Grace was at a crossroads at this point, she didn't know if to believe him or not, she was just here not knowing what to do or think at all.
"Grace listen to me, I can come over to the house please listen to me" Mike said seeing that she was just silent and not saying anything, he knew that she was already having doubts.
"Can we talk some other time please I will talk to you later?" she said and hung up the phone
"Grace listen to me, Grace, Grace" he called out to her but she already hung up the call.
Grace took the letter, she placed it on her chest, she shed a few tears and, she had a lot of hope with Mike already even though he was married but she had thought that since he didn't write the letter, then that meant that he had loved her from the beginning, now all those things have come crumbling, she laid on the bed to cry the more.
Maria had already coupled the pictures together and now she will be taking them out to meet with the blogger who will be bringing the news out, she made sure that the photographer got some good shots even at the restaurant where she and Angel had eaten pretending to be in good terms, she just hope that this can cause enough frenzy and buy her enough time to get rid of Jonas and this stupid Angel, both father and daughter must be crazy to think that she will allow them anywhere close to her family fortune.
This is something that she has built for years and she will not just allow some nobody from nowhere to take it away from her just like that, no matter how ambitious they might think that they are, they can never be as ambitious as she is.
"So mother where do we go from here?" Angel asked her, she knows that she doesn't like being called that and she's only doing this because her father threatened her with God knows what, but she will still use this opportunity to call her that, after all, it's all pretence right?
"We are not going anywhere, you go home while I go to submit these pictures to take them, and quit calling me mother, it irritates me," Maria said whispering the last part
"I already asked that another car come pick you up, so you just wait right here, I can't afford the house staff seeing us together, we just ran into each other and that's it" Maria said and got into the car to leave.
Angel could not believe that she could be that cruel but she didn't want the complain because she didn't want her to change her mind so she just nodded her head in agreement, she would just wait then.
Maria made it to the warehouse where the man was waiting for her, it's a warehouse leading to an underground brothel and club, Jonas was taking her back to her old life, it's been so long since she came here last, but now she has to come here again for the sake of this whole charade.
"So the queen of the night decided to come back here after almost twenty years," the man said
"shut up Dre and just provide me with the guy, I need this shit out in a few hours, I need to get this whole thing out of the way already.
"Of course, I will do anything for you as long as you give me a taste of your lips," Dre said and went on to kiss her on the lips, she didn't dare to refute him if not she would be sorry.
