QUINN'S POV
I opened my eyes to an illuminated environment, the bright yellow rays of the sun poured into the room and the scent of antiseptic and medicine filled the air. I propped myself up from the bed with my elbow and scanned the unfamiliar area in utter confusion.
I suddenly noticed Kim sitting on a stool beside me, his arms were crossed on the edge of my bed with his head laying on them.
"He must have stayed here overnight," I thought.
My eyes darted to my belly which seemed unusually smaller than before; instead of its usual ball-shaped appearance, it had more of a bloated look.
Everything came flashing back to me like a wave upon the shore. After the incident I was saved by him and fell into labor, he rushed me to the hospital, and after hearing the first cry of my baby…I didn't remember what happened next.
"My baby!" I exclaimed.
His body turned, that turning that happens before a person wakes up. I found it has a chance to inquire about my child.
