Volume 57
After Anastasia had fully recovered, Lancelot and Anastasia had gone for a walk outside the castle gate. I'm glad you've recovered completely, 'Your Highness'…. It's only been weeks since your injury and it doesn't look to keep a scar…. Anastasia giggles…. Isn't it because I was well taken care of by 'Your Highness'. Thanks for looking after my well-being, Lancelot…. He smiled. You don't have to thank me, 'My lady'. All I've done is nothing compared to how you will be treated once you finally accept my proposal to be my wife. ... She answered sadly... I'm sorry, 'Your Highness' but I can't grant the request you ask of me.
Why do you think I don't deserve equal right as him to shower you with my love? Will your choice be different if I was the son of the emperor instead? ... This isn't about who's worthy of me, 'Your Highness'. She answered. My love for Lex has nothing to do with his status or position as the emperor son. I love him because my heart wants him. He shares a special place in my heart that I don't see myself falling for anyone else. Lancelot eyes looked sad… isn't there even a slight chance that you might fall for me? I don't want to lose you, Anastasia. Please, promise me you won't push me away. Anastasia remains silent then mutters… I'm sorry, 'Your Highness' but I can't make you any promise right now. It will be unfair to give you hope when I know very well who my heart belongs to… she walks away.
