"Wargggggg!" They scream, the dying and the killers, both immersed in the fight. The thrill of battle, like a sword hanging over your head ready to fall at any time. Like ants they gave their lives to their gods, willing and grateful all the same, whatever outcome they welcome. The whisling of ballistic rocks, the shrill whine of the Necromechs reaping souls, incantations ringing in the air, the silent hum of runes thrumming, all of it drowned by the sound death.
"No! NO! Don't leave me Kiki PLEASE, I need you!" A man cries, his body hunched over a corpse, his pain worse than dying himself. His world shattered...
"Erik! Hold on, hold on! Stay still you'll be alright! You'll be alright. I'll get a healer! You'll be okay!" A woman screams to a man gasping air, she runs to the sorcerers frantically, tears streaming down her face. The man gasps for air, his last breaths filled with smoke and blood as he died alone on the battlefield.
"WRAHHH!" They fight at the front. Sword and axe alike stained with enemy blood. They scream, for glory, for victory, to avenge those already fallen and prevent others from doing the same, they fight. Bodies falling to the ground, empty heaps of past glory, of lives and journeys all meeting the same end. Dead in the dirt.
Men, Women, Giants and Fae their eye's bloodshot from the adrenaline, their minds fleeing to save them, from the battlefield, from the death, from War.
But some reveled in the Chaos. Gleeful while drenched in blood they killed with ferocity and without mercy. The Greeks using physical might and brute magic to hold the Asgardian horde back many dying in the process. The Asgardians, fueled with rage and destined glory fought with skilled abandon, dodging craters and rocks tearing apart the Greeks in melee.
Yet no side was winning. Both losing as is standard, when it comes to war.
....
"Angela! They're tearing us apart when is the signa!?" Angelas second in command yells. They were still in the clearing, separate from the chaos. Like a window they looked out from the trees, seeing their kin bleed and fall. Their hearts ached to charge in and save them, strong as they were. Donned in silver plate armor they stood like golems of war, spear in hand, sword at hip.
"Not yet. Hades hasn't give the order." She responded calmly, looking at the carnage on the battlefield she felt pain in her heart, but she felt even more faith in Hades. He wouldn't leave them to die, not today.
...
[Deaths Boon] Hades cast on himself amplifying his powers and giving his attacks necrosis. At the same time he launches himself at Odin halberd fully extended using all his leverage to cleave him in two.
Odin responds raising his spear and chanting spells all the same. [Heavens Lightning] A golden piercing bolt of lightning descended upon Hades, before he can even react eviscerating his shoulder in an instant.
His heals quickly, but now he was cautious. Odins spells were potent and unpredictable, unbound by the domains the Olympians carried Odin learned the incantations, the Runes, and he knew them well.
Standing opposite, slowly circling each other, the other Olympians surrounding them ready to strike at moments notice they converse.
"You can end this Odin! End this madness and go home! Back to Asgard!" Hades bargains knowing full well Odin has no care for anything he has to say.
"Why are you talking Hades? Truly?" With the flex of his muscles he's upon him, spear reeled back in a thrust. Hades reacts instantly shifting his halberd to deflect while spinning his body, his blade following suit in a crescent slash that Odin is forced to dodge.
But this is not really a fair fight, is it? An arrow collides with his ankle through the gap in his armor digging deep in his skin. Yet he moves as if it wasn't there, ignoring the should be pain he continues to fight.
Hephaestus throws his godly hammer at him as he dodges another one of Hades strikes, the hammer magically imbued to return after striking. Yet in a display of strength Odin catches it. Having spun his body to dodge Hades' blade he catches the Hammer and follows his momentum straight into his jaw knocking Hades far into the distance, his body flying through the air from the unsuspected weapon.
"Now its just us. Bring it on!"
Ares witnessing Odins prowess smiled like a madman, joy jolting through his body from the true God of War in front of him. A voice telling him that he couldn't beat him in a fight, yet an even louder one, his pride said he could.
While Hades was absent the Olympians spare Zeus, and Hestia ganked the War God. Their spells and ranged attacks keeping him from initiating any sort of counter. Until Ares ran forth into the fray of magic and blasts forcing his siblings to be more cautious in their casting. He entered with a downward slash of his Gladius, the dirt dispersing from the force as it was met with air. Odin quick to counter with a shield to the face.
Yet even with golden ichor dribbling down his nose his smile never faltered, only grew. As did his power. With the real 'war' happening in the background, along with it being held on Olympian lands Ares powers were the strongest they've ever been and only continued to rise with each man felled.
"Ha Ha! Another warrior!" Odin says as he tries to decapitate Ares with the slash of his spear. Ares deflects the blade and pivots into a thrust in the same movement, the soldiers dying on the battlefield fueling his skills evermore he fights with Odin.
They became locked in a duel of steel none of Ares siblings able to launch any real attacks from his close proximity to Odin, unlike with Hades, Ares doesn't have as good as a healing factor.
It was even as Ares domain put him at even levels of sword skill to Odin, until they started using magic again.
"[SpearFall]" Odin casts, and instantly dozens of gold spears litter the sky orbiting Ares. His eyes widen at the sudden growth of attack points.
With the flick of his real spear they all rapidly descend, cascading upon Ares unavoidably.
Seeing his imminent death Ares digs into the dredges of his newly gained power, ripping it from his very own domain, his eyes glowing a dazzling crimson, the dirt beginning to levitate from his power, he uses his magic as well.
"[WarBringers Wrath!] *FWIPBOOM* A shockwave of deep red energy explodes from Ares body obliterating the incomeing spears while throwing Odin off balance from the instant ness of it.
.....
Hopefully I can finish this war thing tomorrow but igtgt bed.
