He entered the room and saw the woman lying on the bed reading a book. He hurried over to the bedside.
With his hands on the edge of the bed, the man lowered his head to kiss her, but she pushed him away, disdainfully saying, "Don't touch me if you haven't showered; you smell like sweat!"
"Still angry?" Walter Schmidt raised an eyebrow, knowing she was deliberately finding fault. He had showered and changed into a new military uniform after evening training, so where was the sweat smell?
Emma Benson said nothing, placed the book beside the pillow, turned over, closed her eyes to sleep, and muttered, "We're sleeping separately until you figure it out..."
"Hmm?" The man was taken aback, not expecting her to mean it this time. Reluctant, she insisted that he agree to have another child.
