At the centre of the enormous crater, Kaito Black lay on the ground for several seconds, unable to move. His entire body was covered in dust and blood, while the ground around him was filled with cracks from the force of his crash. Although thousands of soldiers were still fighting nearby, Kaito could barely hear anything because of the loud ringing in his ears.
With great difficulty, Kaito placed his right claw against the ground and slowly tried to push himself up. However, the moment he moved, a sharp pain spread throughout his body, causing him to grit his teeth. His arms were shaking, and he had to try several times before he finally managed to stand on his feet.
