Down on the right and then to a left, seventeen year old Mia made her way up a staircase. Her head hung low in an attempt to avoid being seen with tears welled up in her eyes. She struggles a fight agaisnt the droplets of water that treatened to roll down her cheeks at the blink of her eyes. Taking a step after the ther, Mia considered carefully the action she was about to take. Despite all the mediattion of her actions, she could not convince herself to tmstop. Taking the last step, she goes forward opening the door to the rooftop of the school. The few students there made way for her as she got to the ledge of the roof. Looking down, she felt dizzy and nauseous. She did not think she would have to come to this moment. Her life, her precious youth has been tainted by bad luck and tragedies. Looking down, she faced herself and found courage in the thought that she was all alone in the world. This loneliness consumed her. The desperation, took her further and propelled her to take the next non existent step. Mia felt the drop in her stomach followed by her body. As she made impact with the concrete ground, she closed her eyes, desperate for the pain to be over.
The onlookers looked towards her in a mix of emotions as they looked on to her. At he entrance to the rooftop, they felt disgust and then horror. Who would have known that she would actually jump off the ledge. No one had come forth to stop her. After all, she was well known to be dramatic and attention seeking. She was a liar and serpent known of and hated by many. Now that she was dead. There was just silence. A lingering sense of nothingness in the air. She had thrown herself off the roof and yet no one had gone to stop her. For a while, there was only silence.
