"That's odd," Mu Yunlie expressed his doubts. "There was no evidence to prove Shirley had been turned, and she hadn't been convicted, so the idea of a secret execution shouldn't exist."
"That means someone inside wanted her dead!" Yan Qianyi glanced at Mai Hunter and sighed with relief.
If that was the case, Ah Lie would definitely agree to her request to save Shirley in order to uncover the truth.
Mai Hunter also let out a sigh and finally relaxed a bit.
He didn't understand Mu Yunlie as well as Yan Qianyi did, and whether Mu Yunlie would agree with their actions after learning the situation or if he would take Shirley away from Mai Hunter, he was only fifty percent sure.
If Yan Qianyi wasn't the only one who could possibly save Shirley now, Mai Hunter wouldn't have taken the risk to reveal Shirley's whereabouts.
