A deserted street appeared in front of Xu Huo, the foggy sky blocking any sunlight, revealing only a small portion of the street to the naked eye, with marks of explosions on the ground and buildings on both sides extending into the depths of the thick fog—this road was all there was to see, though on both sides there seemed to be paths leading away, the dense fog completely sealing off the intersections, as if purposely creating obstacles, indicating that passage here was not allowed.
He stood in place for a while before finally taking a step forward.
The thick fog limited his vision, as well as his sensory range; he could only sense areas uncovered by the fog. As he moved forward a little, the fog might thin a bit; looking back, the places he had passed through would again be enveloped by fog. There was no significant change in the buildings on either side, though it was evident they were an extension of the same block.
