In the last two months of the ninth year of the Vine Tribe, the weather grew colder by the day. Although there was no snowfall, in some higher elevated areas, one could occasionally see white frost crystallizing on the ground, making the search for food slightly more challenging.
The larger and mid-sized tribes with strong power fared well, as they mostly had some food reserves. However, the smaller tribes that usually couldn't fill their bellies had to rely on tough grasses and tree barks, or resort to raiding.
The small tribes that managed to win their battles could continue surviving, but those defeated became ruins, and their traces of life would soon be swallowed by the Primitive Forest, leaving only sporadic murals, stone tools, or broken pottery in caves or earth, waiting to be discovered by future generations.
Survival in the crevices has always been cruel, as it has been throughout eternity.
