"Woo woo..."
An NYPD-marked police car stopped by the street.
Two Asian patrol officers got out of the car and shouted to the onlookers, "Who called the police?"
"It was me," said a Chinese man in his thirties.
The Asian officers asked, "Did you see a body?"
"Yes, it's over there." The Chinese man pointed to a trash can among the crowd.
"NYPD, make way." The Asian officer pushed through the crowd and walked to the trash can to check, frowning slightly, he pressed his walkie-talkie and said,
"This is team 3C4, we've arrived at the reported location and found a male body, calling for backup, over."
The other Asian officer waved, signaling the crowd to step back, and took out a police line from the car to secure the scene.
Soon, several police cars arrived at the scene, trying to disperse the surrounding crowd.
Li Zhaonian stood not far away, still in a daze.
