The curtains were drawn, and Danny Carter sat on the sofa, pouring himself a whiskey and downing it in one gulp.
He sighed, stood up, and began to pace about restlessly.
"Ding-dong..." The doorbell rang from outside the room.
Danny Carter walked to the door, peered through the peephole, and then opened the door, "Please come in."
Luke and Daisy entered the room one after the other.
The room was filled with the smell of alcohol, and Daisy couldn't help but frown slightly. Turning to Danny Carter, she noticed that his face had taken on a rather drunken hue.
Danny Carter led Luke and Daisy to the sofa, "Take a seat, I hope you've brought some good news."
Daisy asked, "Mr. Carter, you seem very anxious, what happened?"
