Chapter 139 - Aurora's Anger

"Darling, when are you planning on meeting your Grandpa?" Aurora asked softly, her head resting on Mark's chest as they lay cuddled under the silk sheets.

Mark's brows furrowed slightly. "I don't know… I barely visit him. "You should," she murmured. "Visit him more often. How about we both go? I've always wanted to see a ranch. Please don't say no." Mark sighed heavily. "Aurora, I have a lot of crucial matters that need my attention here in New York."

"Aren't you busy yourself?" he added pointedly. "I am…"

"Then that's it. End of discussion." His tone dropped like a gavel in a courtroom.

"But—"

"Aurora, let's not have this conversation again, please." His voice grew sharp, final.

Aurora sat up abruptly, her mood shifting like a storm cloud. She tossed the covers off and stepped out of bed. "Where do you think you're going?" Mark asked, confused.

"Let go of me, Mark," she hissed, shooting him a deadly glare as he reached for her wrist. He backed off immediately, and before he could say another word, SLAM! the door shut loudly in his face. "Aurora! My door is expensive!" he yelled after her. "Aurora! Aurora, come back here!"

He let out a groan and buried his head in his hands. "Great. Now I've got an angry wife stomping through the mansion." Mark tossed on a robe and stepped out. "Which room could she have stormed into?" he muttered under his breath. The mansion was huge, and there were more than fifteen rooms to check. His irritation was rising, but suddenly… an idea struck.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

A bloodcurdling scream echoed through the halls. Aurora froze mid-step in the hallway. "Mark?" Panic surged through her veins. Without hesitation, she rushed out of the guest room toward the sound of his voice.

But just as she turned a corner—

"GOTCHA!"

Strong arms wrapped around her from behind. "Mark!" she shrieked, spinning around and pounding his chest with her fists. "You screamed just to lure me out?! Are you kidding me? "And it worked," he smirked, clearly proud of his dirty little trick. She kept hitting his chest, but he didn't even flinch.

"Are you even human?!" she groaned, now more frustrated at how unfazed he was.

"You should work on your martial arts," he teased. "It felt more like a chest massage." His eyes danced with mischief and something else.

"Mark!!!" she yelled.

"Come on, Peach. You know I can't stand seeing you upset. Let me take care of those poor hands." "No, I won't follow you. "Don't be stubborn," he whispered, gently brushing his lips across her neck. Aurora's knees weakened instantly. Mark grinned. "Still works like magic."

Without another word, he scooped her up bridal style. "Put me down!" she protested, half-heartedly. "Never," he murmured. "I'm taking my wife back to our room."

XXXX

Mark laid her gently on the bed, his intense gaze locked on hers. Aurora's heart pounded in her chest wild and chaotic. She could see the hunger in his eyes, the burning desire that couldn't be mistaken. This time… there was no hesitation. She loved him. With all her heart. And she was ready.

Mark leaned in, his breath warm against her ear. "I want every piece of you, Wife. Every. Piece." Slowly, his hand slid downward, fingers ghosting over the waistband of her panties. Aurora's breath hitched.

"W-What are you doing?"

Her question dissolved into a soft moan as his fingers found her clit. "Ahhh… Mark…"

Shivers spread across her skin like wildfire. Her back arched as pleasure erupted from within, her body trembling under his touch.

His lips captured hers, slow but hungry. He kissed her like she was the air he breathed. His tongue traced the edges of her lips before finally sliding inside, tasting, savoring.

Her nipples hardened, her body aching. He moved lower, his lips dragging across her jaw, trailing fire down to her neck.

"Ahhh… ouhhh…" she moaned as he bit and sucked the sensitive skin. "You taste too good," he growled against her neck before crushing her lips again.

She responded with equal hunger, her hands tangled in his hair. Their breaths tangled, their souls collided. She helped him strip off his pajamas as he yanked her nightwear away with needful urgency. "I love you," she whispered breathlessly.
