After dinner, Polly Sutton went to rest. Since she was always thinking about the lab issues, she didn't sleep well and got up at dawn to head to the school.
Mrs. Lewis didn't stop her for breakfast, instead stuffed two eggs into her hands for the road.
"She and Mr. Parker are like this every day, they don't know how to take care of themselves."
Mr. Lewis was helping little Tommy organize what he needed to take to the set today, "They're both dealing with big things, how can they have time to care for themselves."
When Polly Sutton arrived at the lab, the experimental data was still running and hadn't given a final result yet. But from the current data, the likelihood of success was high.
Michael approached with a phone call, "Mr. Harris called and said he'd still like to meet you."
"He really is persistent, tell him I don't have time." Polly Sutton kept watching the data jumping on the computer screen, declining the invitation once again.
