Polly Sutton looked at the man across from her, holding back a laugh, "My dad told me, really, it was my dad."
"Not young anymore, not in good health, yet still meddling in many things." Victor scoffed and turned to leave.
Polly Sutton followed Victor outside, still holding back a laugh, "Yes, he's getting older, not well, and his son doesn't care. Everyone says raising children to protect oneself in old age isn't always reliable."
"Mommy, I'll take care of you when you're old," Tommy said while munching on snacks, swallowing them with effort, but speaking earnestly.
Polly Sutton fed him a sip of water and soothed him, glancing at the man who went into the study. It's really harder to deal with him than kids, wondering if Benjamin Chu will manage to hear the word 'dad' before he leaves.
