But Allen Sheldon, standing outside the one-way glass, couldn't see him.
He did see Bella Meyer's car parked in front, though, and after listening for a moment, he figured out why the engine wouldn't start.
He hung up the phone and knocked on the driver's side window.
Seeing that it was Allen, Bella rolled the window down.
"You and Isaac get out of the car, I'll take a look at what's wrong with it." After he finished speaking, he turned back to his own trunk and took out a toolbox.
By the time he came over with the toolbox, Bella and Isaac were already out of the car. He unlocked his own doors and added, "If you get tired, you can rest in my car for a while."
With that, he started working.
Isaac followed him with great interest, watching him pop the hood and check the problem, then start fixing it once he'd confirmed it.
