Mr. Sheldon's temper flared up quickly, but it subsided just as fast. He got infuriated when thinking about it, but before long, he was chatting and laughing with Charlotte Allison. In the end, he even asked Charlotte to pick one of his homemade fruit wines for the evening and urged her to visit the Sheldon Family more often.
Lucas Quinn quietly held Charlotte Allison without saying a word until she ended the call.
"Don't take Grandpa's words to heart." Charlotte knew Mr. Sheldon was overly partial to her, which made her think a lot more.
"Sister, as long as you understand me, it doesn't matter what others say." Lucas said, burying his head in her neck.
"Unless you tell me yourself, I won't believe anyone else's words." Charlotte kissed him on the forehead, speaking seriously.
"Okay." He nodded, hugging her even tighter.
"My poor little darling." She cupped his face tenderly.
"Yes, I'm your poor little darling." He replied, both his gaze and actions filled with clinginess.
