Mr. Cole, both surprised and a bit anxious, asked, "Why?"
Before Mr. Cole could ask any further questions, Lucas Quinn already had an answer.
"I want to date, I don't have time." He replied matter-of-factly.
His answer first made a few guys from the neighboring dorm laugh. Having played ball with Lucas quite a bit, they knew he genuinely didn't want to get involved, so they teased while trying to help:
"Mr. Cole, dating is important. How about me? I don't have a girlfriend and am happy to help."
"I also want to participate in the trial. I can do what Lucas does, consider me."
"No girlfriend for me too, Miss Meyer, Mr. Cole, do you think we're suitable?"

Mr. Cole ignored what the others were saying and looked at Lucas Quinn, ready to analyze the reasonable allocation of time with him.
Just then, Lucas's phone, placed on the table, buzzed, its dark screen lighting up briefly, showing a few seconds of a quick message summary.
