Over the years, Lucas Quinn had encountered all kinds of people.

His voice drifted to her ear on the wind.
Charlotte Allison was surprised yet not surprised.
She turned to look at him and said with a small smile, "Alright, I understand."
He was still young and meeting someone like her, who he wasn't supposed to encounter at his age and in his environment, and developing affection was not unexpected.
The unexpected part was that he expressed it so directly and clearly, using the employment agreement she gave him to make a request, to annul the employment contract altogether.
He was very serious now.
