Cold resolve replaced hesitation as determination ignited in their eyes. Without exchanging another word, they nodded to one another—and unleashed everything they had.
Their energies detonated.
A pillar of blazing crimson surged from Lortar's body, while a towering column of deep cerulean erupted from Eonar. Heat and temporal force twisted together, tearing open the sky as the twin pillars climbed heavenward.
The next instant, both kings vanished.
They reappeared before the Blood King in a flash of distorted space, moving so fast that even a Middle Alpha–Omega Overgod would struggle to track them. Despite their grievous wounds, their speed remained monstrous.
It took less than a heartbeat.
Lortar's halberd and Eonar's sword descended from opposite sides, crossing toward Cain's neck like the blades of a colossal scissor, perfectly synchronized and aimed to decapitate him in a single strike.
