"Come back, you're not allowed to go," Zhan Hanjue ordered.
"I'm already on the way, if it's convenient for you..." Ye Ningwan replied.
"What's going on?"
Ye Ningwan was halfway through her sentence when her voice suddenly disappeared. She checked her phone and found it was out of battery.
Of all times, it had to run out of battery now. Isn't this just her luck?
And her charging cable and charger were all in her car, not in her bag.
Ye Ningwan said to Ye Henghui, "Uncle, can you lend me your phone charging cable? My phone is out of battery."
Ye Henghui's car did have a charging cable.
However, they vaguely heard what Zhan Hanjue said just now.
Ye Henghui and Li Meifeng exchanged a look.
Ye Henghui coughed lightly and said, "I don't have my phone charging cable in the car either. Ningwan, we're almost there, stop worrying about charging for now."
Ye Ningwan guessed that Ye Henghui had likely heard Zhan Hanjue's words and therefore didn't want her to contact him.
