The air grew extraordinarily tense as the Divine Doctor stepped away, not particularly eager to get caught up in whatever was about to happen. A faint silence hung in the air, save for the hum of machinery in the biolab.

Causally, this was his first conscious experience, even if Rui had given him all of his memories, muscle memories, and his mind.
The clone's movements, body language, and nonverbal communication were uncanny. They unnervingly identical to Rui, so much so that even someone who knew him intimately well would not have noticed, had he been placed with her in the past. Everything about his expression, his pitch-black eyes, the way he carried himself, were all identical to Rui.
