Riley also realized that her tone was somewhat inappropriate.
She clenched her palm slightly and immediately explained, "I just suddenly felt something wasn't quite right. Maybe if I wait a bit, I might find some other leverage against Charlotte."
"Well, you better make it quick and not waste Mr. Battleson's time. Don't forget, without Mr. Battleson, you might not be where you are right now."
Not knowing how many times she'd heard these words, Riley painfully furrowed her brow, but the idea that had taken root in her mind grew stronger.
Yet, she still maintained a flattering smile on her face.
"I understand, the tasks Mr. Battleson has given me, I will certainly carry out seriously."
Riley then took a deep breath, ready to return to the set to continue filming, but what she didn't expect was that someone from the director's team had come to inform her that today's shoot was paused.
No reason was given to Riley, but it was enough for her to secretly let out a sigh of relief.
