Cough.
Lu Jing pursed her lips and continued to observe the patient, her face still slightly tinged with shyness.
About ten minutes later, she finally finished seeing the last patient of the morning.
The intern began tidying up the desk, and Lu Jing freed her hands to drink some water from a cup.
"Jiang Ye!" she called out.
The man then came in.
"Off work?" he asked.
If she didn't get off work soon, someone might have to make another trip to the dean's office.
Lu Jing hummed in response, put down her cup, and stood up.
"Alright, let's go."
Jiang Ye quickly came forward to support her and even took the bag in her hand.
Lu Jing just wanted to roll her eyes, but the intern was still there.
Oh well, let him save face.
....
As they came out of the hospital, Lu Jing wrestled her hand away and asked,
"Where to?"
"Dinner!"
"So, back home? Where are you thinking of going?"
The man burst into laughter.
"A day of great joy, let's eat out."
It was a celebration, after all.
